University of Limerick and the Institute of Food Science and Technology of Ireland (IFSTI) are delighted to announce the 48th Annual Food Science and Technology Conference on 16 December 2019. The primary purpose of the conference is assisting the professional development of young food scientists by providing them with opportunities to present their research in the broader food science and technology area, to interact and network with their peers, and to hear keynote addresses on a range of food-related issues from professionals working in the food industry. It also provides an exciting snapshot of the diversity and depth of food science and technology research ongoing in Ireland and a valuable opportunity to build new collaborations. Kerry Group will also host a careers stand at the event.

Abstract Submission Instructions: Abstract submission is now open for oral and poster presentations. Abstracts should be no longer than 300 words. They should briefly include an introduction, objective and materials and methods. The main focus should be on results and the abstract should end with a conclusion. Sufficient information should be provided (e.g., number of experimental units, means, standard errors and statistical significance) to enable the reader to evaluate the conclusions drawn. The abstract template is attached or can be downloaded from here. Completed abstracts should be submitted by email to IFSTIconference2019@ul.ie before November 25th 2019.
